Himma (همة) ("we") is the data controller for personal data processed through this app. Contact: malsabah04@gmail.com.
Data we collect and why
- Account data (email, password hash) — to create and secure your account. Legal basis: contract.
- Planner data (tasks, schedules, prayer settings, fasting choices, Quran/Mutun/reading logs, workouts, body metrics, soreness, nutrition inputs) — to provide the service. Some of this (religious practice, health) is special category data; we process it only because you choose to enter it (explicit consent) and you can delete it at any time.
- AI assistant messages — to answer you and keep your conversation history. Messages are sent to our AI provider to generate replies.
- Location — only if you allow it, to calculate prayer times. Not stored beyond the coordinates you save.
- Technical data (IP address, device/browser, error logs) — for security and fixing problems. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
Who we share data with
- Hosting, database and AI service providers acting on our instructions.
- Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record, for subscriptions, payments, tax and invoicing.
- Professional advisers, and authorities where the law requires.
International transfers
Some providers may process data outside the UK/EEA. Where they do, we rely on adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses.
Retention
We keep your data while your account exists. When you delete your account, your data is deleted permanently, except records we must keep by law (e.g. billing records held by Paddle).
Your rights
You can access, correct, export, restrict, object to processing of, or erase your data, withdraw consent at any time, and complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). Settings → Account lets you download all your data and delete your account. We respond to requests within one month.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, access is restricted so each user can only reach their own data, and passwords are never stored in plain text.
